Blue Coppice
Bethany Hughes, the designer behind Blue Coppice, has stitched, drawn and made ‘things’ since she was a very small child. No egg box, piece of string or pot of glue was safe…and still isn’t. Her quirky, whimsical counted cross-stitch and embroidery designs are inspired by the beautiful English countryside, stately homes, historic textiles, a lifetime spent in art galleries and museums, and degrees in landscape architecture and classical studies. Following local success at the Coventry and Rugby Open Art Exhibitions in 2023, Bethany’s ‘Medusae Miscellanea’ piece was selected for the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition 2024 and was on show at the RA’s beautiful Burlington House from 18 June-18 August 2024. www.bluecoppice.com/

Paine Free Crafts
Paine Free Crafts is a full coverage cross stitch designer, in business since 2012. We sell our own designs in PDF, print and full kit formats, and we make kits for many other designers too, which we sell both online and in our physical shop in Dumfries. We branched out into a small selection of knit & crochet items too!
We’ll be bringing a selection of our popular kits, as well as hand dyed and printed fabric, hand dyed silks and cottons, and we can bring any orders that request delivery at the Big Stitch in 2026. Stitching Woodcrafts
Stitching woodcraft was started when some stitching friends found out what I do for a living, wood carver/turner, and wanted some thread winders making, this then seemed like the perfect way to combine my two passions.
My products now include thread winders in various sizes, spools, bobbin and spool holders and magnetic frames to hold needle minders or display small stitches. I am always open to suggestions for any items to design.
I design and create all of my products from a variety of different timbers, including oak, walnut, yew and mahogany.

Stitchmania Stash
Stitchmania stash started in 2019 purely because myself and friends could not find accessories that were ‘different’ to others and very quickly evolved from requests to include many things that you would have in a stitchy bag.
Everything is hand made by me and I am open to custom orders that may eventually make it into my shop.
